Three Fun Ways To Eat Leftover Delivery Pizza


Pizza delivery makes dinner simple, but what do you do if everyone in your household likes different pizza toppings? If you're like most people, you end up ordering multiple pizzas, which means you have a lot of leftover pizza in the refrigerator. If you enjoy eating cold pizza for breakfast, having leftover pizza is great, but what if you don't like cold pizza and you aren't a fan of pizza that has been reheated in the microwave? Don't waste your leftover pizza. Check out these hacks to make leftover pizza taste great the next day.

Waffle-Iron Pizza

Waffle-iron pizza is simple to make and fun to eat. All you need is a few extra pizza toppings -- a little bit of mozzarella cheese will do -- pizza sauce, a waffle iron, and a microwave.

  1. Preheat your waffle iron.
  2. Grab a slice of leftover pizza, and add a few extra toppings to the upper left-hand corner of the pizza.
  3. Fold the bottom of the pizza up so that it covers your toppings, and cut off the pizza crust.
  4. Put your folded pizza into your hot waffle iron, and cook it until the crust is crispy, and the cheese is gooey.
  5. Pour some pizza sauce into a microwave-safe bowl, and use the microwave to warm the sauce.
  6. Dip your waffle-iron pizza into your warm pizza sauce to eat. The nooks that the waffle iron created in the crust hold just enough sauce to make your revived pizza amazing.

Pizza Eggs

Leftover pizza and eggs makes a yummy and unique breakfast.

  1. Tear up a half slice of leftover pizza -- the part of the pizza with all of the toppings, not the crust -- into tiny pieces.
  2. In a bowl, mix two eggs, a spoonful of milk, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Add the tiny pieces of pizza to your egg mixture.
  4. Cook the mixture on a skillet until the eggs are fluffy and serve. If you want to give your pizza eggs a little kick, top the concoction with a little bit of hot sauce.

Pizza Lasagna

If you have quite a bit of leftover delivery pizza, and you want your family to consume it quickly, make a pizza lasagna.

  1. Heat your oven to 350-degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Spread a layer of pizza sauce along the bottom of a 9-inch by 9-inch baking dish.
  3. Cut the crust off of six pieces of leftover pizza.
  4. Lay two pieces of pizza, face up, on top of the pizza sauce.
  5. Add a layer of ricotta cheese, and then, a layer of mozzarella cheese.
  6. Repeat the layering process two more times, but place the pizza face down the second time.
  7. Cook for 30 minutes covered, and 10 minutes uncovered.
  8. Let your pizza lasagna cool for a few minutes before serving.
